Project overview

Arts Corps is a non-profit organization that encourages creativity and curiousity in young people. They lead many community art programs in low-income areas. These programs promote life-long creativity and community building.

Arts Corps has a vision where 'barriers to arts education no longer exist and all young people can creatively lead the transformation of schools, neighborhoods, and beyond.' To reflect this dream of youthful creativity, a new identity must have a playful attitude.

Playfully Formal

Arts Corps needed a slightly formal appearance to impress the bureaucracy.
While showing a 'child-like' creativity and expression. 'Hand-drawn' elements
and loud accent colors were choosen, paired with strong rigid lettering and
an almost military badge emblem.

Applied Branding

Customized borders, examples of youth art, and
more hand-drawn elements. These push the playful branding
to traditionally bland materials for the non-profit.
